Before we can lay your artificial grass, the base substrate must be prepared. In most situations this will include a specific type of gravel that can be compacted but also provides adequate drainage. In some situations, an extra layer consisting of a permeable rubber membrane will be added.

The installation of the artificial turf is time consuming. Pieces are carefully laid out in the same direction for a uniform look. Edges are countersunk and pins are placed in precise locations to hold the turf in place.

The final step to a properly installed turf lawn is the addition of infill, which can be sand, crushed stone, or rubber/synthetic. This is also called envirofill. Available in different colors, turf infill helps the grass blades stand straight instead of flattening down in a single direction. In essence, the infill makes the synthetic grass look more natural and varied.
